Un día en un aula Montessori

Welcome! (8.00 to 9.00)

We will live a quiet and relaxed entrance. For this reason, the school opens its doors at 8 a.m. We pray punctually, our children are creating their internal order, habits and customs, respect for their peers, the environment and their community.

Work with Montessori material (9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)

During the morning children will work in their Prepared Environment: their guides will give them different presentations and to the extent that they recognize their environment and identify their needs, they can develop and self-build from the free choice of work, always with responsibility and clear limits. During the morning the total immersion in English is handled, creating a bilingual environment where a guide speaks to you in Spanish and the assistant speaks to you in English. There will also be moments of "movement" selecting small groups according to their stage of development. Each child will be free to take their lunch starting at 10:30 in the dining area that is within the environment and belongs to “Vida Páctica”

Departure to the park, lunch and rest (12:00 - 14:30)

At noon we prepare to go to the park. It is a moment of great joy for all, an adventure and a great step towards responsible independence. From respect, play and collaboration children develop their psychomotor and social abilities. We return at 13:00 hours and after washing their hands, all together prepare the table to eat. It is a space of great learning since we appreciate food, we learn the rules of grace and courtesy, order and responsibility, as well as respect for the times and tastes of each one. We have ecological catering, with nutritionally balanced foods and menus designed for the diet needs in which children find themselves. When we have finished eating, we collect our place, we clean it and we are going to brush our teeth.

If a child needs to sleep, he will have a quiet and comfortable space where he can do it. Those who do not need to sleep, will continue making different proposals:

BOOKS, ART, YOGA, MUSIC, PLAY, MOVEMENT

In small groups... Every afternoon starting at 3:00 PM they will rotate the proposals that we will make in group, learning whilst playing. Priority will be given to activities that invite you to recognize your body and your emotions.

EXTRA-SCHOOL WORKSHOPS (4:30 - 5:30) will be workshops: Yoga, Pastry, Art, Music and Dance.

Farewell (From 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.) From 1:00 p.m. In the Montessori Children's House in Madrid, the children and their families meet again.
